About Agape Inspiration Blog:
The Agape Inspiration blog is a ministerial platform designed to encourage readers to embrace God’s love and word, motivating them to cultivate purposeful living daily, empowering them to live and serve as God intends—whether in small acts or big moments. We believe this is the path to a truly impactful and purposeful life.
Everyone is welcome here, whether you’re a Christian at any stage of your faith journey or someone exploring what it means to follow Jesus. Our goal is simple: to create a space where people can share their experiences and find comfort, help, and strength through God’s word and love as they navigate life.
Each article on our site addresses life challenges on our road to purposeful living from a personal, practical perspective. Written by men and women who have faced and overcome life’s struggles with biblical truths, or have seen someone experience these struggles or lessons, these stories serve to encourage others with the same comfort they’ve received (2 Corinthians 1:4).
We don’t claim to have all the answers, but we aim to point our readers toward God’s love and word, where we find everything needed for life and godliness.
Thank you for your interest in contributing to our blog!
Agape Writing Style
- Articles should be between 800 and 2,000 words.
- Always capitalize Bible, Word, and Scripture, but not biblical or scriptural.
- Capitalize names that refer to God (e.g., Lord, King, Savior), but do not capitalize pronouns for deity (e.g., he, him, his).
- All direct Scripture quotes require parenthetical citations, while other quotes or references to biblical ideas should use footnote citations.
- In-text example: We “give thanks in all circumstances,” even when we don’t understand (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
- Footnote example: God can be seen in everything.¹
- Use the ESV, TPT, NIV, MSG, NLT or NKJV versions for biblical references.
- Only capitalize Gospel when referring to the canonical Gospels (e.g., the Gospels or The Gospel of Matthew).
- Use Oxford commas and em dashes (—). Note: em dashes should be used without spaces on either side.
- Thoroughly check your article for grammar and spelling. Articles with significant errors may not be considered, though minor issues will be edited by the Agape Inspirations Editorial team.
- Use Nunito or Arial font, size 12, for your text.
Agape Inspiration Voice/Tone
When writing for Agape, think of a friend, a family member, or a colleague sharing a deep fear, anxiety, or difficult question they’re facing. Maybe they’re struggling with sharing their faith in the workplace, or they’re feeling anger and bitterness toward God after the loss of a loved one, or they are going through a rough patch in their homes or they simply want to make sense of their lives. Perhaps you’ve seen something troubling in the world around you and have experienced it yourself or you think there are better & scriptural ways to go through & overcome life challenges. The struggle is real and can weigh heavy on the heart, but God’s love and word offer comfort and dircetion in uncertain & desperate times. What would you say to them? How would you guide them toward God’s promises in His Word and love? How did you find your way through it? How does the word of God inspire us in those experiences? Share those insights.
We aim to create articles filled with love, grace, and wisdom—pieces that encourage and challenge people where they are, inspiring them to be a blessing to others. We write as people who face these same struggles; we don’t just empathize but offer the comfort & wisdom we’ve received ourselves, recognizing this as a form of service, even without a hero’s cape. Our writing is as much for us as it is for others, reminding everyone of the hope found in the word and the love of God.
We write understanding that some heroes don’t wear capes, but carry pens, graceful tongues, and a wealth of wisdom to rescue another.
We strive to combine clear biblical truths with an empathetic, understanding, and reflective tone. We dare to call our style “conversational” or “reflective,” and our community agrees. We want to share important truths in everyday, relatable language—avoiding lofty language that seeks to impress. Our goal is clear biblical truth explained in natural, accessible ways.
Stand firmly on God’s Word, while understanding that the practical application may look different for each person. Do not sound as though your perspectives are final but as a contribution for ‘‘we see in parts’’ (1 Corinthians 13:9)
Every article should include or end with an “action plan” to help readers apply the gospel to their specific situation (e.g., “Over the next few days, read this scripture and pray with it”). This will guide them in applying God’s Word to their life.
Agape Writing Tips
- Whenever possible, use inclusive language to engage all readers.
a) Personal: “As I pray daily, my heart becomes more at peace.”
b) Inclusive: “As we pray daily, our hearts become more at peace
- Reduce “how-to” lists or overly specific advice, as these can alienate some readers & go against the inclusivity we seek for our community.
- Always spell out the full names of books of the Bible (no abbreviations).
- Write clearly and concisely to strengthen your points.
- Avoid obscure vocabulary.
- Write with grace and understanding, allowing for thoughts and complexity.
- Avoid Definitive Statements: Instead of saying, “People who give in public are seeking the praises of others,” focus on the heart of the issue without making assumptions about motivations. It is better written, “Our resources are from God and can be used for his glory in the open and in private. The heart is what He sees”
Our Guiding Principle
Our personal stories and life experiences can be valuable, but it’s only the Word and love of God; the power of the gospel that truly transforms lives. Keep your focus on the word of God as you write.

In some cases, the editor or another member of the Agape team may request additional promotion of a book within an article if it’s a recommendation, or an Agape-published resource. If so, the editor may choose to add a link at their discretion.
